Kitchen Staff :
Cleaning, food preparation, serving food, maintaining a clean organized dining facility.
Accounting: Create records by invoices, debits, and credits: Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, different port departments, and customers; Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices and calling the customer for payment status; Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions; Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries; Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with collections department; Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing a report; Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential; Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

WAGE: $12 per hour
AVERAGE HOURS: 32-40 hours per week
OVERTIME: May be available
WORK SCHEDULES: Monday through Sunday. Schedule will include one or two days off per week
TRAINING: Provided upon arrival

LOCATION: Juneau, AK; Skagway, AK
TYPE OF AREA: Near the National Park, mountains, etc.  Skagway is an amazing place to live, work and for many make lifelong friendships.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: N/A, housing is basically within walking distance from job site
HOUSING: Provided
HOUSING COST: $12 per day prorated for length of stay
HOUSING COST: $350 refundable damage deposit if unit is returned in good clean condition
ARRIVAL INFO: The students should plan fly into Juneau. Students should schedule their Juneau arrival for Monday-Thursday only. Upon arrival students will be transported to the Social Security Office to apply for their social security cards. Southeast Alaska is a temperate rain forest. Students should plan to pack for average temperatures between 55 – 65 degrees F but temperatures may be as cold as 30 degrees F or warm as 80 degrees F.
