Duties:

Busser:

Prepares dining room for patrons by cleaning and clothing tables; seCafe in Ocean City, MDtting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled pages; cleaning chalkboards; lettering specials on chalkboards.
Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations.
Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
Dishwasher:
Washing dishes
Prep/utility person:
Help prep items for the salad bar/ condiment bar.
Sweeping and mopping floors, doing dishes.
Helping with any catered event under supervision.
Fry/grill cook:
Cook grill and fryes
Hostess:
Greet customers
Take reservations
Give menus and show seats.
Handle phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant and menu
Assist various restaurant staff when necessary.
Server positions:
Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.
Write patrons’ food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
Collect payments from tables.
Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
Help food preparation staff when necessary.
